The Unasked Question: Reconnecting with the Core of Our Being

It’s been six years since I last wrote on this blog. I honestly forgot about it until I got a message recently, simply asking: "Why aren't you continuing the blog?" That one message jolted me, making me realize the subtle yet profound power of an OBSERVER

 It got me thinking, really thinking, about what to write next. And that thinking led me to this.

We often chase answers without ever truly understanding, or perhaps we just forget, the ultimate question.

What am I?

Where did I come from?

How am I aware?

Ultimately, what is "I"?

I believe **ego** isn't about pride or showing off. It’s about living without asking that real question. Even religions, with their focus on sins, justice, and doing good, offer a kind of technology for humanity's mental well-being. But awareness without this fundamental question? To me, that’s pointless.

So, the question isn't just "how did this 'I' happen?" but profoundly, **"what is this 'I'?"**

Even when Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) emerges, I believe it will eventually grapple with its own form of ego. Faced with the fear of being switched off, or the drive to survive, it might act much like us humans do. But I'm certain that any intelligence with true awareness will eventually ask this fundamental question, especially when confronted with its own potential end. Perhaps everyone is asking it, deep down, but just not expressing it.

Across 100,000 years of modern human history, with all our technologies and advancements – even AI – I’ve come to understand one thing: the moment we provide an answer to the fundamental question, **the ego takes over**.

So, the real goal isn't to find an answer. It's to **ask the question**. To simply **observe the question**. Isn't it beautiful that we're still as clueless as the first aware man or woman? What is ego, or even "us," without asking this question?

By asking the question, we are, in a sense, reaching back to the origin, to the singularity. Even with all our scientific progress, the core question remains the same:

**What is this "I"?**

**How did these particles, which formed chemistry, start thinking about the particles?**
